Time to break free from the hospital

Here are some pictures from her trip home from the hospital.

Some "Firsts"

Here is Anya holding hands with her first friend, enjoying her first coke, making her first cell phone call, sending her first text message, reading a little from the bible for the first time, and trying on her first pair of sunglasses.

Some more pictures

Anya is Here!!!

After a long wait, Anya Liisa Seppala has finally arrived! She came into the world at 9:16 pm on July 24th. She weighed a whopping 9 pounds, 2 ounces and was 22 inches long. She came out with a headful of long, curly, dark hair. When they went to take her footprints, her feet were too long to fit on the paper they use!! She is doing well and so is mother. We got to the hospital for Mary to be induced at 9:15 in the morning on the 24th. We stayed at the hospital until 4:00pm on Sunday July 26th, and then headed for "home". Anya is doing well right now, and is getting used to living out in the world. We snapped some photos of Anya's first days!

Final Update Before Going to the Hospital

Well, no signs of labor yet, but tomorrow we are headed in for Mary to be induced. As soon as pictures are ready I will post them here.

We stopped by the house today, and the good news is that the new roof trusses are on and they are covered by plywood. The not-so-good news is that there are some mistakes with the basement right now, but it shouldn't be too big of a deal to fix them since it is still early. Hope this finds everyone well, and the next time I post here it will be with baby pictures!

House Update (but still no baby)

Well, no news on the baby front. Our gut feeling is that the little one probably won't be coming until Thursday morning when we have an appointment to have her induced, or maybe the night before. We'll just have to see what God has in mind thoug :)

I thought I would add some information about the house, though. We have been through the process of picking out sink fixtures for the house, countertops, cabinets, and the type and color of hardwood we will be using. The blueprints have been finalized, and work has begun on actually rebuilding. So far they have replaced the floor joists and have begun re-framing the house.

For now we have the townhome we are renting ready for Anya to come, and we continue to spruce things up and make the place fit us a little better while we live here.

Hopefully the next message I put up will be with news of the baby!!

Still No Baby. . . .

Well, it is July 16th and still no appearance by the little one. Mary did have a doctor's appointment, and we set a date for next Thursday the 24th to be induced if the baby doesn't come naturally before then. As soon as there is news (and I can get to a computer), I will post information and pictures.
