1st all nighter?

Well, I think we might be able to consider last night Finn's first all nighter. He went down around 10:00pm and didn't wake up until 5:00am! I think that's pretty darn good for a 6 week old! Hopefully he keeps that up for when I go back to work in a few weeks. Finn sure likes his baths. He totally relaxes and loves the feel of water being poured on him. I think he even kind of smiled a few times when I did that. He is just a happy guy. He holds my hand when I feed him (6oz at a time!) and loves to be cuddled. The only time he fusses is if he has a poopie diaper, has a burp that needs to come out, or is really hungry.

Look at my big belly!

Just chillin in my bath tub.
Anya really loves to dance and wants to watch bella dancerella ballet EVERY day, no joke. Now she has gotten to the point where she has to wear a ballerina outfit/tutu when she dances.

I just like these too

I took these after school today. Just thought they were cute.

Cutie Pie

This week at school is homecoming week and so each day they have a different theme day. The
Little Knights also follow along with those themes and today is red and white day. Auntie Kari and Uncle Brian got Anya this cute outfit and I've been dying for her to wear it! I know I say this a lot, but I can't believe shes only 2 years old! She looks like she is going to elementary school!

Anya and Finn

Anya still will stop playing and ask to hold Finn. I love the look on her face when she holds him. She just looks so in love with him!

Anya Ballerina

I recently got Anya a little ballerina outfit and ballet slippers. My Aunt and mom found the ballet bar that goes with the Bella Dancerella ballet video. Anya absolutely loves to dance and really likes this ballet video and I like it too because it is nice and quiet and graceful. Anya is learning all about plies, releves, and tendus. Here is Anya practicing a Tendu.

Kind of funny

I thought this was kind of funny. Here's pictures of Anya and Finn both at 4 weeks old. They have similarities, but they definitely have unique features.

1month old!

Finn is one month old today! He is still doing great. Not a whole lot to report as he is pretty much doing the same thing. He does have some more awake time now, though. Just thought this was a cute picture.

Team loyalty

So, my friends Molly and Megan have recently put on their blogs pictures of their kids in different sports attire rooting for their (or their mom's and dad's) favorite teams. Even though Dan is a big football fan, we don't really have much team apparel for our children to wear. However, my nephew Tom is choosing to go to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, so he got t-shirts for Anya and Finn. It must be in her blood, because as you can see from her face, Anya is a die hard Gopher Fan. ( we just don't have any gopher stuff for her to wear ). We do have a cute gopher outfit for Finn for when he is bigger though.

3 week check up

I brought Finn in for a check up today. He is currently 22 1/4 in long and 10lb 8oz. That means that in 3 weeks, he has grown 1 and a quarter inches, and about 1 and a half pounds! He's in the 75-90% for both height and weight.

3 weeks old!

Finn is 3 weeks old today! Tomorrow I bring him in for a check up. I'm really excited to see how much he weighs now because he is eating 5 oz every 3 hours! He is still doing really good at night, stretching about 5-6 hours between feedings. Anya is still doing really good with him. She loves to hold him and kiss him and sing him songs when he cries. I'm just so proud of how well she is doing adjusting to him. Things are going so much better than expected!

just an update.

Auntie Kari with the kiddos. Notice Anya working the iphone already.
Anya is just getting so big! I know part of it is because we have a little baby to compare her to, but she is just so grown up right now. I am amazed by how tall she is, the conversations you can have with her, the phrases she says, and how funny she is. She has been so good with Finn and we are just so proud of her!
He's starting to plump up at bit now. He is eating about 4-5 oz each feeding! I don't remember Anya eating that much this fast!
Here is a rare picture of Finn with his eyes open. That still doesn't happen much these days.

2 weeks old!

Finn is now 2 weeks old! He is such a good boy and is doing really well at night now. He is on a really regular schedule already. We put him down at around 8-9pm and then he wakes up around 1-2 am and then not again until 7-8 am. He is just a laid back guy, real low-key, and a snuggler. Auntie Kari and Uncle Brian are up from Texas visiting, so I'll update with more pictures soon.
