It's JUNE!!

Yesterday when Anya got home from school she put on a show for us. She was talking up a storm and singing and being funny. We tried to get some of it on tape. She loves singing "rock a bye baby" to her dolls and lately she's been singing "rain rain go away". One of the videos, we don't know what she' s saying but she is telling us a story and is so excited about it!

On the Farm!

Last night we went to a party for Dan's math department at One of his fellow math teachers who has a farm down by Rochester, MN. We didn't realize exactly how big the farm was or how many animals there were, but Anya got to see and hear a lot of farm animals for the first time. We saw, touched, and fed Sheep, pigs, cows, chickens, horses, bunnies, and cats. She had a lot of fun and really warmed up to getting close to the animals. Here are some pictures.

Mother's day, my extended birthday, and Hanna's 1st birthday!

Yesterday we went over to auntie Kristin and uncle Paul's for a Mother's day/my birthday/Hannah's 1st birthday party. Anya and Gabriel got goodie bags that they opened while Hannah opened her gifts. The biggest hit was the glasses.... It was a very relaxing fun day, spent with wonderful people and great food. Oh and Anya was showing her Finnish patriotism. The top picture was from the other day, Dan was taking a nap on the couch and Anya brought him her blanket, sippy cup, stuffed kitty, book, and a little people girl. All the things that would make his napping experience a good one. Then she proceeded to stare at him, kiss him, and say "hi daddy, wake up daddy". Very cute.
