Anya is 9 months old now and is closer to walking than to actually crawling. Right now she can get to anywhere she wants by rolling, scooting, and spinning, but she just doesn't want to crawl bad enough. She is able to stand by herself next to furniture and has even taken a couple of little steps (while hanging on) to get a remote. I just bought her a little shopping cart and she pushed it forward and then took two little steps to catch up to it. We changed her schedule around a little bit with the help of Kelley and she is sleeping through the night consistently now! That is so awesome! Tomorrow I take her in for her 9 month shots and check up so I'll see how much she weighs and all that. That's it for now!

Happy Easter!
Anya started clapping for the first time yesterday! She laughs and will clap when you do. It's super cute! Today she wore the cutest Easter dress and hat and was very good in church-like always. She ate smushed up ham, potatoes, green bean casserole, and fruit salad. It was a very nice day-we had Great Grandma Bev, Grandma Kathy, Grandma Mary Jo, Grandpa Dave, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Paul, Auntie Kristin, and Cousin Gabriel over for Easter dinner. Everything was great!

8 months
I just wanted to update on some of the new things Anya has been doing. She can now completely sit herself up from laying down. She has gotten up on her hands and knees and rocked back and forth-so hopefully she will be crawling soon. Her bottom right tooth finally poked through the gums. It looks like the two bottom teeth will be coming in at the same time. Her new thing is to go bbbbbbbhhhhhh (you know where you blow and your lips vibrate?) She still says dadda daddy a ton! she's in 12-18 month clothes now- we are done with the footie pj's-her feet just won't fit! so she's got big girl pj's the soft and silky pants and shirt. very cute. Last night she slept from 8:30 until Dan woke her up to feed her at 5:45. so nice! Well, I think that's all for now.

7 months!
Anya is now 7 months old! She is rolling around and sitting up like a champ! When she sits she likes to bounce to music. She is getting very close to crawling. No teeth yet either, but she is very good with the sippy cup and can feed herself crackers. Her favorite song is "you are my sunshine", she loves to feel different textures, her favorite tv show is American Idol (she just stares at it!) and yesterday on her daddy's birthday, she was saying "da da da de" all day! I think last time we checked, she was something like 28 inches long and close to 20 pounds! she's wearing 12 month clothing now. big girl! Here are some pictures with her grandmas and grandpas. Hopefully there will also be a video of her rolling and playing.

6 months
Here are some updated pictures. Aebo and Anya are the best of friends. Whenever Aebo walks by Anya she smiles so big and puts her hands out for him. He loves to lick her and sometimes even gives her a big sloppy kiss. The other pictures are of Anya just being her cute self! She now weighs 19 lb, 4 oz and is 28 inches tall. She has grown 7 inches in 6 months! She is over the 95 percentile in height and in the 90-95 percentile for weight. Oh and at her 6 month check up, she scored the highest in fine motor skills and problem solving. We can only imagine she will be a smart jock!

Big events!
Anya has had some major milestones in the last few weeks. She can now roll over both ways, drink from a sippy cup, and sit on her own!!! She also likes to feed herself graham crackers and would love it if I gave her the spoon to make a mess with. She is just a happy girl and loves to stick out her tongue. She's also been making kissing noises lately. I love the serious look on her face in the pictures of her sitting. You can tell she is really concentrating.
January has been an eventful month to say the least and the latest is that we came downstairs after dinner and were accusing each other of either bad gas or a HUGE dooker in the downstairs bathroom... We both denied it of course. So we went poking around and sure enough, our utility room and underneath the stairway was flooded with poopy water! SUPER!! So we got everything cleaned up and are waiting for the plumber to come tonight. Never a dull moment in the Seppala household.

Baby's First Christmas
Anya had a great first Christmas. She was able to open presents, eat the paper, and play with her toys. She had fun with all her Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She is 5 months now and she can almost sit up on her own (she continues to do her pilates sit-ups so her tummy muscles are strong). She is getting really good at passing a toy from one hand to the other. And has slept through the night 3 of the 4 past nights! Whoo hoo!
