Summer Time

We spent the day at Auntie Kelley and Uncle Dan's yesterday. Kelley took these cute pictures of Anya in her pretty summer outfit (thanks Auntie Kelley!) The one where she is kind of squatting down just reminds me how fast she is growing! She looks so much older than my mind can wrap around. I keep forgetting that she's technically still a 1 year old. Only one more month and then she's 2! Thanks to Uncle Dan for fixing our breaks and changing our oil and getting the car to actually start after a stressful 15 minutes! Anya says "Uncle Dan loves me!" oh yeah and Anya was telling a story that went.. "Because....And then.....HA ha ha hah ha" must have been really funny to her. She would throw her head way back and giggle.

Bedtime Routine

Every night when we put Anya to bed we say our prayers and then end with singing Amen. Then she leads us in to the Alleluia. (I learned she's been doing this at daycare at naptime too!) You can't see anything because her room as too dark, but just listen.

Sunday best

Last Sunday I put Anya in this pretty pink dress and she pranced and twirled and showed off for daddy. She is definitely a girls girl...she loves momma's high heels, wearing dresses, and getting her hair done (even though in the morning it is unbelievably snarly in the back). Anya's talking is improving every day, its common for her to just spit out sentences like "momma, look at those ducks!" or "daddy where are you? I wanna go see him" or "momma, daddy, love soooo much". The other day while we were eating she just said out of the blue "momma, I (points to eye), love (crosses chest), you (points to me)! "---I taught her that...:)

oh, the other day she told Dan a story about coming home from school. She said "Mommy and Anya at school...go in car...home...DADDY!!!!"

She also loves to sing. Some songs she has totally down and others she knows the main parts.
Twinkle twinkle little star, ABC's, Jesus loves me, I love you a bushel and a peck, You are my sunshine, Itsy Bitsy Spider, This little light of mine, I've got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart, head shoulders knees and toes, a little of all the bible songs on the veggie tales CD...We have some videos of her singing that I'll try and put up later.
oh and at night before bed we sing the Amen and then Alleluia (the celtic version from church) and then she knows it's nigh nigh time.

Getting Ready for Baby

I'm 28 weeks along now and boy did I pop out in the last month! Whew! Finn is doing great and kicking and moving a lot! He feels like he's stretched as far as he can go-my guess is he's a big boy. Anya is excited to have a little brother. She practices being a big sister with her baby dolls.

It's JUNE!!

Yesterday when Anya got home from school she put on a show for us. She was talking up a storm and singing and being funny. We tried to get some of it on tape. She loves singing "rock a bye baby" to her dolls and lately she's been singing "rain rain go away". One of the videos, we don't know what she' s saying but she is telling us a story and is so excited about it!
