Doctor's visits

Last week we took the kiddos in for Finn's 6 month check up and then because we thought Anya might have another ear infection.
Anya has her 4th ear infection of the winter. When we bring her in again after the antibiotics are done, they are going to check her for allergies again... more on that later.

Finn had a good check up. He weighed in at 18 lb 9.5 oz and length of 27.5 in. He's in the 75% for both which is surprising to me because he seems so big and eats a ton!

New things for Finn: Eating all fruits and vegetables, and now meats. He gums on graham crackers and we are starting to get him familiar with a sippy cup. He is officially saying "da da dad" and makes funny noises with his mouth.

Yesterday when I picked him up from daycare, I noticed his left ear was draining thick goupy yellow stuff. It just looked like really liquidy ear wax. I called the pediatrician and they said to bring him in. We found out he has strep (again or still from last time?), a double ear infection, and a ear drum rupture in his left ear! So he is also on a stronger antibiotic now. Poor kid! He has been great, eating good, sleeping, and has been happy. If he didn't have that goup coming out of his ear, I would never have suspected him sick. They say that it will all heal up quickly, and there's nothing to worry about.. I guess...

So, I'm looking forward to spring/summer when maybe, just maybe, they won't be constantly sick.
